Our first 70 years
Back in 1955, Osijek ZOO was founded. After discussions about the location, the ZOO was placed in Tvrđavica, where it still stands today.
In 70 years of existence, we are proud to say we are the largest ZOO in Croatia, and every year we welcome more and more visitors.
Of course, in 2025 we are expecting many new projects and new animals!
Happy birthday to the ZOO, to all the staff who make it so unique, and to our loyal visitors. A big thank you for visiting us for 70 years!

October 2025For everyone who wants to meet our residents up close, we have prepared a weekend schedule of public feedings. Programs may be adjusted depending on weather conditions and the needs of the animals.
