Become an animal adopter

Inspired by the long-standing tradition of European zoos, Osijek ZOO introduced the possibility of adopting animals in 2011.

About adoption

health care, food supply, and animal welfare

the adopted animal stays in its enclosure and cannot be taken home

adoption is valid for one year with the possibility of extension

a single animal species can have multiple adopters

an entire school class can adopt a specific species

in case the animal is transferred to another ZOO or passes away, there is an option to choose another species

Adoption package models

Bronze patron

27 €

The price includes : an official thank-you letter from the Zoo. Sponsorship announcement in the local press. Gift package. Ten family tickets to the Zoo for you and your associates. The sponsor receives an advertising board with your logo on the enclosure (40x60), at the entrance to the Zoo and on the official Zoo website. Once a year, the opportunity to make a presentation at the Zoo.

Silver patron 54 €

The price includes : a gift package, a thank-you note for the adoption, the adopter's name and surname on the animal's enclosure (a 20x5cm plaque if desired), the adopter's name and surname (if desired) on the official website of the Osijek Zoo. One family ticket.

Gold patron 74 €

The price includes : an official thank-you letter from the Zoo. Sponsorship announcement in the local press. Gift package. Ten family tickets to the Zoo for you and your associates. The sponsor receives an advertising board with your logo on the enclosure (80x100), at the entrance to the Zoo and on the official Zoo website. Possibility of a presentation at the Zoo twice a year.

Note

In the case of group adoption (kindergarten group, school class, or similar), the gift package remains the same as for individual adoption.

You can purchase adopted animals online, just like tickets on our website.

If the payer's name differs from the adopter's name, the adopter's name must also be included in the note

To pay via a general payment slip, enter the following details:

After payment is completed , send the payment confirmation to info@zoo-osijek.hr or to the ticket office of Osijek ZOO and provide the following information:

Name of the animal being adopted

After we receive the payment confirmation and the required information , Osijek ZOO will prepare the adoption certificate and other contents included in the selected adoption package and contact you within 5 to 10 days.
